Examples of How Increased Formability through High Strain Rates Can Be Used in Electro-Hydraulic Forming and Electromagnetic Forming Industrial Applications

In order to take up some challenges in metal forming coming from the recent environmental stakes, Electromagnetic Forming and Electro-Hydraulic processes have been developed at industrial scale, using advantages of high strain rates. Such progress has possible particular thanks emergence strongly coupled simulation tools. this article, examples selected applications deep forming, postforming, embossing, complex shapes forming. It shows how particular, increase formability can bring benefits solve customer issues automotive, luxury packaging, aeronautic, particles accelerator sectors. Some results are presented explain highly dynamic occurs for each these applications.
